Military Through the Ages,
Jamestown
Settlement, VA
2007
These
are images of our first event of the 2007 season. The event was the debut of our
Land Rover 109, which was very well received by staff and visitors alike. As we
are fortunate enough to have a trained chef in our unit, meals were very good,
and enjoyed by all. Unfortunately, due to issues with our camp stoves, he was
unable to enter the camp cooking competition in time, he would have placed very
well otherwise. As more images come in, they will be added.

This image, and the 2 to its right show L/CPL
Hapeman and C/SGT Newman discussing issue items that Paras would of had in
the field. |

CPL Cartner |

SGT Lee |

The two of them. It is unclear if the light that
appears to be enveloping, dare I say following, the CPL is of a
supernatural nature. |

Having a brew to take off the morning chill,
while discussing the upcoming patrol. |

L/CPL's Danz (r) and Rihl (l) in the mess area
trying to get the stoves up and running.

Breakfast nearing completion, the L/CPL's
continue to try and get the stoves functioning.

A few images from the patrols carried out during
the two days. The patrols give a good opportunity for the public to meet
us, and learn a bit about our unit, either prior to their seeing our
encampment, or afterwards, when a new question has been thought of. |

While on patrol, the brick took a photo opportunity
in the indian village. Fortunately, this was after the capitulation of the
village. No injuries were incurred by either side. |

Once inside Jamestown's fort, the patrol
established contact with leaders of the garrison. |

Here, negotiations are made in an attempt to
garner good faith with the locals. This photo was taken during the arms
negotiations. |

Here are four images of us in the Land Rover. It
made a good photo opportunity for the public to get some interesting shots
of us with the vehicle. |

Marching Through Time
Marietta
Mansion, MD
This
years Marching Through TIme event was cut short due to a large weather system
moving in. Still, it was a good event for all that attended, as we paid our very
due respect to Susan Wolf, who retired from Marietta Mansion and the Prince
Georges County MD Park System. Susan was a great friend to reenactors
representing all periods. She will be missed.
2007
EAA Fly In
Winchester,
VA Regional Airport
This
was a new event for us, and as such, turn out from the unit was light. We plan
to add this to our event schedules in the future, as this event was well
received by those of that attended, as well as the Experimental Aircraft
Association (EAA) who put on the event. We look forward to many more years
attending this event.
